Please read these terms carefully before using Race Day Coach.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Race Day Coach ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Description of the Service

Race Day Coach is a race-planning and running-support platform that provides tools for runners to analyze routes, estimate pacing, and generate race strategies. The Platform may utilize artificial intelligence (AI), third-party weather data, and user-provided GPX files to generate recommendations, calculations, and predictions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform independently. If you are under 18, you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

4. User Responsibility and Assumption of Risk

Running and racing involve inherent physical risks. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your own training, racing, pacing, navigation, and safety decisions.

You acknowledge that endurance sports involve unpredictable conditions, including but not limited to weather changes, terrain hazards, and physical stress, and that reliance on digital tools does not eliminate these risks.

You assume all risks associated with your use of the Platform, including but not limited to risks of injury, illness, or death arising from training, racing, travel, route use, or acting upon any suggestions provided by the Platform.

5. Disclaimer Regarding AI, Data, and Recommendations

The Platform's outputs are estimates, not guarantees. You explicitly acknowledge that AI-generated suggestions, weather data, route guidance, calculations, estimates, and pacing recommendations provided by Race Day Coach may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or entirely wrong.

You agree that you will not rely solely on the Platform when making decisions related to training, racing, pacing, navigation, or safety. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it.

Race Day Coach does not guarantee:

  • Race results or performance improvements.
  • The achievement of personal bests or specific goal times.
  • The accuracy, timeliness, or reliability of weather forecasts.
  • The accuracy of route data, elevation profiles, or GPX parsing.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Platform.

Weather conditions and forecasts may change after a race plan has been generated. Users should check current conditions before and during an event where appropriate.

6. Official Race Information and Navigation

Race Day Coach is not an emergency, navigation, or course-safety service. Always follow official race instructions, course markings, organizer guidance, and local safety requirements.

7. Race Information May Change

Race routes, course conditions, aid stations, start times, and other event information may change. Users are responsible for checking the latest information provided by the official race organizer.

8. Health and Fitness Disclaimer

Race Day Coach is not medical advice. The Platform does not provide medical or health advice. You are solely responsible for evaluating your own physical condition and fitness level before relying on any pacing plan or race strategy. If you have concerns about your health, fitness, or ability to participate safely in training or racing, you should consult a qualified medical professional.

9. Third-Party Services and Data

The Platform relies on third-party services, including but not limited to weather providers, mapping services, AI models, and analytics tools. We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or reliability. Any external APIs may fail or provide incorrect data, which may subsequently affect the accuracy of Race Day Coach's recommendations.

10. Platform Availability and Bugs

We strive to keep the Platform operational, but we do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or secure access. The Platform may experience downtime, bugs, errors, delays, or incorrect outputs. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform at any time without notice.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, are the exclusive property of Race Day Coach or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

12. User-Provided Content

You retain ownership of GPX files and other content you upload. By uploading content to the Platform, you grant Race Day Coach a limited right to process that content solely as necessary to provide and operate the service.

13. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful data.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Platform's AI models or algorithms.
  • Provide false or misleading information that could disrupt the service.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our discretion, without notice or liability, including if you breach these Terms, use the Platform in a way that may harm the service or other users, or if we otherwise consider restricting access necessary.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. RACE DAY COACH EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RACE DAY COACH AND ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Race Day Coach from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Platform or your violation of these Terms.

18. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

19. Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other comments about Race Day Coach, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify, develop, publish, and incorporate that feedback into our products or services without compensation or further permission from you.

You are not required to submit feedback, and submitting feedback does not create any obligation for us to implement or respond to it.
